~For Our Rett-Angels~

~For Gina~

When I looked into your eyes

I thought I knew for sure

Your soul was very far away

Locked up behind some door

I didn't think you knew me

Or even seemed to care

This brought me so much anger

And left me in despair

Oh how could this have happened?

I feel so lost and trapped

I don't know how I'll handle this

My daughter, handicapped?

Yet, time goes by and much has changed

I suddenly feel free

My daughter opened up my eyes

And now she's teaching me

She showed me how to keep the faith

And never give up hope

My world is now a better place

And this is how I cope

The life she'll live will be free of sin

Which makes her truly pure

She is closer to God than most of us

A fact I know for sure

My daughter is an angel

Sent here from up above

My heart is now all full of joy

And unconditional love

When I look into your eyes

I'm now certain that I see

A bright and special little girl

Who is smiling back at me......with love

~An Angel~

Just like an Angel,

you came into my life

one unforgettable day,

and swept me away

from my far too loud

and busy world,

quieting my mind,

tickling my dreams,

and showing me what Love

is all about.

You'll never know

how deeply

you have changed me . . .

how sweet it feels

just to hold your hand in mine.

~Hello God . . .~

Hello God, I called tonight To talk a little while.. I need a friend who'll listen To my anxiety and trial...

You see, I can't quite make it Through a day just on my own... I need your love to guide me, So I'll never feel alone

I want to ask you please to keep, My family safe and sound. Come and fill their lives with confidence, For whatever fate they're bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face Each hour throughout the day, And not to worry over things I can't change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home And listening to my call, For giving me such good advice When I stumble and fall.

Your number, God, is the only one That answers every time. I never get a busy signal, Never had to pay a dime.

So thank you, God, for listening To my troubles and my sorrow. Good night, God, I love You, too, And I'll call again tomorrow!

~The Bridgebuilder~

An old man going a lone highway came at the evening cold and gray to a chasm vast and deep and wide The old man crossed in the twilight dim the sullen stream held no fear for him But he turned when safe on the other side and built a bridge to span the tide

"Old man" said a fellow pilgrim near "You are wasting your time with building here" "You never again will pass this way Your journey will end with the close of the day You have crossed the chasm deep and wide Why build you this bridge at even tide?"

The builder lifted his old gray head "Good friend in the way that I've come," he said "There follows after me this day A youth whose feet must pass this way This stream which has been as nothing to me to the fair haired youth might a pitfall be Yes, he too must cross in the twilight dim Good friend, I am building this bridge for him."

~William O' Goggle~

~I Am Unique~

I cannot change the way I am and I really never try. God made me different and unique.

I never ask him why if I appear peculiar, there's nothing I can do you must accept me as I am as I accept you.

God made a casting of each life, then threw the mold away, each child is different from the rest, unlike as night and day

So often we will criticize, the things that others do do you know, they do not think the same as me and you.

So God in all his wisdom, who knows us all by name He didn't want us to be bored, that's why we're not all the same.

~May the Angels~

May a peaceful and quiet hammock in the stars rock your spirit to sleep as angels watch over you tonight. May you be healed, attuned and aligned for the higher energies of what is to come . . .

May the angels bless your sleep and give you the feeling of a monarch butterfly that has emerged from its cocoon into the sunshine to stretch its wings, to fly, to explore, to feel, to experience, to discover, to soar, to know, to be free, to be supported in flight by the currents of light and life, to dance without limit . . .

May the angels wrap you in their warm healing waters and love to bring your sleep refreshment, energy, joy, laughter, happiness, peace, - to feel recharged and enlivened.May they wrap their wings around you and bring you direction, guidance, clarity . . .

May they show you the way through wide open new doors of light ... may they lead you into celebration of your spirit and who you are. May they lead you through the new door of light into new experiences and bliss - euphoria - excitement of the soul . . .

May your dreams bring revelations and hope, faith, love and joy. Sleep well . . . As the Butterfly, may you fly free into the new. May you receive the appreciation for the excellence that you are - a special being of love and of light.

The angels know. . . God knows . . .

Picture just a friendly smile that makes your troubles flee, Or just a loving, touching hand that's placed upon your knee.

Listen to a soothing word from one you know who cares Or drink a cup of kindness offered from a friend who shares.

Hear a lovely melody that fills your heart with glee, Behold the sweetness of His love in everything you see.

And as you grow more sensitive to all His love and peace, The fears and sorrows you have known are surely going to cease.

So praise the Lord in daily praise for blessings you receive, Just look to Him in all your needs, and trust Him and believe.

~For Strength~

A little boy was spending his Saturday morning playing in his sandbox. He had with him his box of cars and trucks, his plastic pail, and a shiny, red plastic shovel. In the process of creating roads and tunnels in the soft sand, he discovered a large rock in the middle of the sandbox.

The lad dug around the rock, managing to dislodge it from the dirt. With no little bit of struggle, he pushed and nudged the rock across the sandbox by using his feet. (He was a very small boy and the rock was very huge.) When the boy got the rock to the edge of the sandbox, however, he found that he couldn't roll it up and over the little wall.

Determined, the little boy shoved, pushed, and pried, but every time he thought he had made some progress, the rock tipped and then fell back into the sandbox.

The little boy grunted, struggled, pushed, shoved - but his only reward was to have the rock roll back, smashing his chubby fingers. Finally he burst into tears of frustration.

All this time the boy's father watched from his living room window as the drama unfolded. At the moment the tears fell, a large shadow fell across the boy and the sandbox. It was the boy's father.

Gently but firmly he said, "Son, why didn't you use all the strength that you had available? Defeated, the boy sobbed back, "But I did, Daddy, I did! I used all the strength that I had !"

"No, son," corrected the father kindly. "You didn't use all the strength you had. You didn't ask me." With that the father reached down, picked up the rock, and removed it from the sandbox.

Do you have "rocks" in your life that need to be removed? Are you discovering that you don't have what it takes to lift them? There is One who is always available to us and willing to give us the strength we need.

Isn't it funny how we try so hard to do things ourselves. Sadly, many adults who have been Christians for years are trying to do everything themselves and only turning to God as a last resort. God wants to be your first resort. Let Him help you with your trials, tribulations, and temperament. He loves you so much ...all He wants you to do is ask Him to help.

~If I Can~

If I can stop one heart from breaking,

I shall not live in vain;

If I can ease one life the aching,

Or cool one pain,

Or help one lonely person

Into happiness again

I shall not live in vain.

Emily Dickinson
